Patch for METEONORM Version 5.1
METEONORM patch version 5.107 does not consist of a complete new version, but only of the corrected main file mn_51.exe. The installation has to be done manually.
Instructions
- Download patch version 5.107 (zip, 670 kB).
- Unzip the file.
- Copy the file "mn_51.exe" into your METEONORM program directory.
Patch 5.107 fixes the following items (compared to version 5.1)
- The output format Lesosai has been corrected. In Version 5.0 and 5.1 the monthly values from February till December and yearly means have been listed instead of monthly values from January to December.
- The header of the output formats PVS and T/PVSOL have been slightly corrected. The geograpical position (lat/lon) are now given as decimal values instead of degrees and minutes.
- The temperature time series for Montreal QC (type station) were corrected.
- The calculation of diffuse UVB irradiance has been corrected sligthly.
- The output format PVSYST has been corrected: now the latitude and longitude are given in degrees und decimal values of degrees.
- The calculation of radiation on inclined planes have been corrected. The radiation is slightly lowered by 1-2%.
- In TMY2 format the extraterrestrial horizontal and beam irradiance columns have been mixed in versions 4 and 5. This has been corrected in version 5.107
Alpine Digital Elevation Model for Version 5.1
This file is needed to automatically calculate the horizon in Alpine regions outside Switzerland.
Instructions
- Download the digital elevation file (zip, 47 MB).
- Unzip the file "alpinegrid.zip" to the "data" subdirectory in your METEONORM program directory.
Patch for METEONORM Version 5.0
METEONORM patch version 5.014 does not consist of a complete new version, but only of the corrected main file mn_50.exe. The installation has to be done manually.
Instructions
- Download patch version 5.014 (zip, 650 KB).
- Unzip the file.
- Copy the file "mn_50.exe" into your METEONORM program directory.
Patch 5.014 fixes the following items (compared to version 5.0)
- Meteonorm TSOL output format was not read correctly by TSOL. This is fixed.
- Hourly values of wind direction in TM2 output format were constant (only varying from one month to another). With the update, they are variable.
- Password had to be entered each time with tutorial version. Now password has to be entered only once.
- Longitude in output format DOE corrected.
- Problems with decimal separator connected to the country settings when importing current data corrected (all hourly output is now written with points as decimal separator).
- Longitude and latitude definition in the TM2 format header: change to degrees and minutes.
- Polysun format: now compressed Polysun files can be made directly also with site names containing special signs (in former versions the name of the site had to be trimmed and corrected by making a new user defined station).
- In the versions 5.009 - 5.014 the calculation of high horizons and definition of new sites for places very near the Swiss border can be made now.
- The calculation of shadow effect of high horizons has been corrected. In the versions 5.000 - 5.008 the effect has been partly underestimated (generally by 0% - 10%).
- The calculation has been dependent to a small extent on the number of stations calculated in the same session before. In versions higher or equal than 5.010 the result is always 100% the same for each station.
- In versions 5.0 - 5.010 always the variable, calculated albedo is used also when the fix albedo has been chosen. This has been corrected in version 5.011.
- In versions 5.0 - 5.011 the imported monthly values have not been taken into account for interpolation. This has been corrected in version 5.012.
- In versions 5.0 - 5.012 the interpolation was wrong (all months and parameters = 0) for user defined sites with the same coordinates as a predefined WMO/OMM station. This has been corrected in version 5.013.
- In versions 5.0 - 5.013 the columns "month" and "day" were exchanged in the TRY/WUFI output format. This has been corrected in version 5.014.
Update satellite global radiation maps
- monthly means of May - October
- enhances global radiation interpolation quality for version 5.0x
Instructions
- Download radiation map files (zip, 2.2 MB).
- Unzip the files into the "data" subdirectory in your METEONORM program directory.
