Patch for METEONORM Version 6.0
METEONORM patches do not consist of a complete new version, but only of the corrected main file mn_60.exe and the stationdatabase. The installation has to be done manually.
Instructions
- Download patch version 6.0.2.5 (zip, 24 MB).
- Unzip the file.
- Copy & overwrite your local files with the zipped files corresponding to the filestructur in the zip archive:
- EXE copy "mn_60.exe" into your METEONORM program directory.
- DATA FOLDER copy all files in the data folder into your local data folder (ex. "dat2005pw.mdb", "zonalmean_ff.txt", "gh_ms8_XXXcorr_latlon_eu2.rdm", "GSat_XXX_all_i_v7.rdm",..)
- OUTPUT FOLDER copy all files in the output folder into your local output folder ("asc2simu.exe")
Always overwrite the older file with the same name!
Patch 6.0.2.5 fixes the following items (compared to CD version 6.0)
- Spain: Extended datasets for global radiation (e.g. with Barcelona,
Valencia) - City Freiburg i. Br.: Coordinates and altitude changed
- Dew point temperature: very small changes of mean values (range of 0.1°C)
- Import monthly data: now more than 100 datasets can be stored (1 dataset = 12 monthly values of one site).
- PVSYST output format has been extended with header (needed for import into PVSYST)
- Graphs: Monthly radiation and sunshine duration figures begin at Y axis = 0 for all sites.
- Interpolation of global radiation: Negative values of some sites (e.g. Capo Caccia, Italy) have been corrected.
- Torino Bric Croce (Italy): global radiation values have been cancelled due to doubts about quality.
- User defined output format: Parameter hy (hour of year) now set correctly (it was set constantly to 0).
- Registration for tutorial versions: Patch needed (otherwise registration is not possible).
- Precipitation values Switzerland period 1996-2005: corrected values.
- Selection of sites with map tool wehn comma as decimal delimiter chosen (e.g. country settings for Germany) works now.
- 10 year monthly extremes: if monthly extremes are chosen the radiation values are calculated correctly (instead of beeing set to zero). Yearly means are given now also correctly for temperature and radiation.
- DRY data: inclined surfaces are now calculated (instead of beeing set to zero).
- Header of output format "Climate change" corrected to "2071-2100" (instead of "2071-80").
- Userdefined output format: Correction of the header line. Radiation unit is now shown correctly in the legend (up to now set constantly to W/m2).
- Userdefined output format: If at the same time tracked radiation (G_Gn) and radiation on inclined planes (G_Gk) are chosen: G_Gk will be calculated now for the chosen inclination and azimuth (up to now the horizontal radiation was given).
- Interpolation of parameters precipitation, wind speed, dewpoint and days with rain: enhanced interpolation for areas with low density of network (use of alternative periods and means of climate zones).
- Import hourly and monthly values: runs now correctly also for leap years.
- Import hourly values: The output in all formats is now possible also if only global radiation is imported. That means, that all parameters are now generated adopted to the imported radiation.
- Enhancement of the display of the time periods: in the preview and monthly files the real periods are shown (for stations with measurements) and not only the rough periods (old or new).
- Generation of foggy mornings (low radiation during morning and high during afternoon): correction of generation process (leads to very small changes in scale of one tenth of a percent of yearly values).
- Output format Humidity: Matrix of temperature and mixing ratio: Minimum and maximum values now adopted to local conditions.
- Timezone of cities of Vietnam corrected from 8 to 7 (weather station have been correct).
- Preview: special characters like W/m2 or °C are shown now correctly.
- Dewpoint temperature of period 1961-90 of station (Gh interpol.) "Seeb Intl. / Muscat" were wrong in older versions. Values have been deleted and are interpolated now.
- Installation with latest version of Installshield 2008 (only for complete version).
- User defined output format: Delimiters commas and semicolons are set now correctly.
- Import of monthly values: In case of commas as decimal delimiter (e.g. country settings of Germany) the temperature are stored now correctly (in earlier versions the values have been stored as integers).
- Wet bulb temperature: the used approximation according "Normand's Law" has been exchanged by a numerical approximation. The earlier results have been calculated partly too low.
- TMY2 format: Header is now correct for all combinations of latitude and longitude (earlier version did have errors for single digit minute values)
- Output format Climate change: The year can be chosen, for which the simulation is done (choose between 2010 and 2100).
- PHPP format: Heating and cooling loads were calculated now. The values on which the statistics are based, can be entered in a new form (provisional version).
- Software steps: the use of the arrows (forward and back) and the click on the registers have now the same effects.
- Output format Climate change: Dewpoint temperature as additional parameter (assumption of calculation: monthly means of relative humidity will be constant). Option: save as TMY2 output.
- Preview (all formats): Units are shown in all columns. Additionally the next site used for interpolation is given.
- Enhancement of the interpolation of ambient and dewpoint temperature: Better results for sites, which are higher than all surrounding stations and for sites with few neighbouring stations (corrects e.g. high humidity values at some sites in northern and eastern Germany).
- PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) is introduced as additional paramater (model of Alados-Arboledas, 2000). Quality of calculation of monthly means (rmse): 4%. Available under formats user defined or science.
- City Saint-Denis Réunion: correction of the altitude above sea level (from 1200 to 100 m).
- Calculation of diffuse and beam radiation: small correction of model (has no influence on mean values, but only on some few hourly values).
- Altitude values of sites of type city: all cities above 1800 m have been controlled and if needed corrected (e.g. Bishkek KG)
- Additional output format Solar-Ripp (with automatic conversion into binary format)
- Automatic calculation of high horizons: easier handling for places with flat horizon (< 5°; e.g. sunrises and -sets can be calculated now directly).
- File with minute values: Value of the hour has been corrected (in earlier version the value was one hour too high)
- Diverse small corrections of the software surface
- Updated options for PHPP output format.
- Import of hourly data: if time zone isn't correct and import stops, the difference between the entered time zone and the correct is shown.
- Different small updates.
- Small corrections of database (wind speed data of Argentina, sea level altitude of Amman JO)
[up to here included in patch 6.0.2.1] - Time system optionally as true solar time possible.
- Translation of PHPP output format.
[up to here included in patch 6.0.2.2] - High resolution satellite maps for Europe for enhanced radiation interpolation (resolution of 3 km instead of 30 km).
- Updated global radiation maps based on satellite (30 km resolution).
- Import of monthly values at leap years: Import of values of February corrected.
- Correction of generation of precipitation values. Has small influence also on humidity time series.
- Updated PHPP output format.
[up to here included in patch 6.0.2.3] - Inclusion of name of horizonfile and horizon graph in preview.
[up to here included in patch 6.0.2.4] - Correction of choosing the stations (if a station with the same name occurs several times)
- Correction of Linke turbidity (kept to 3 in version 6.0.2.4)
